With the new release of Flash Player for Ubuntu I"m not also able to disable hardware acceleration to avoid that frustrating channel administration that overlays a kind of blue pattern on each video.

I"d really like to remove it: I right-clicked on the running plugin, visited settings and also then tried to remove the tick via no success.

Verify that you are in the section titled "Find Flash Player version kind and also capabilities (Flash developers only)".
